GCr15 bearing steel is a kind of high-carbon chromium bearing steel with low alloy content, good performance and the most versatile. After quenching and tempering, it has high hardness, uniformity, good wear resistance and high contact fatigue performance. The steel has the characteristics of moderate plasticity, low cutting performance, poor welding performance, high sensitivity to white spots and temper brittleness. GCr15 bearing steel, containing c0.95-1.05, Mn0.25-0.45, Si0.15-0.35.
Chrome steel is one of a class of non-stainless steels, such as AISI 52100, En31, SUJ2, 100Cr6, 100C6, DIN 5401, and can be used for bearings, tools, drill bits and other applications.
1. These high precision ball bearings are hot forged from bar stock. Great for applications where there will be extreme rotation.
2. Modern furnaces with precisely controlled atmospheres and temperatures are used for heat treating to assure uniform hardness and proper microstructure for each steel ball.
3. Ball hardness is controlled within the 61-67 HRC range as measured on parallel flat surfaces. The steel balls come lightly lubricated to keep their perfect polish.
4. Bearing balls are used in automotive applications, for semi-precision bearings, and in commercial applications such as casters, locks, and drawer slides.
5. We mainly produce chromium steel with a size of 7.9375mm to 82.55mm. The main material is high chromium GCR15 or GCR15SiMn.Our balls are mainly for wind energy industry.
